Abstract

Pangestu Village is a tidal-swamp area with an elevation of approximately 0.5 meters above sea level and a population of about 2,000. The community’s diverse socioeconomic conditions, particularly among underprivileged groups, make the distribution of Direct Cash Assistance (Bantuan Langsung Tunai, BLT) important. However, the data collection for prospective BLT recipients in the village has still been carried out manually, resulting in limited effectiveness of data processing, insufficient storage security, and a lack of transparency in the selection results. This study aims to develop a web-based decision support system using the Profile Matching method to assist the selection of prospective BLT recipients. The system was built with the PHP programming language and a MySQL database, following the stages of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and was modeled using use-case, activity, and class diagrams. The results show that the system processed criterion data automatically, generated a ranking of prospective recipients according to their degree of conformity with an ideal profile, and presented information transparently to the public. The system was implemented without technical constraints and improved the speed, accuracy, and accountability of the decision-making process.
